If you have been living in Israel for some time, you probably have heard about the “red alert”, which is the term used to describe the situation when the command to evacuate the area is issued. The Red Alert is issued by the Department of Internal Security and is broadcast on the radio and displayed on the screen. The message is very clear: “A rocket siren has been detected in the area. Leave the area immediately and go to a safe distance.”
Cumta is a mobile app that sends messages about rocket sirens to your phone. In the event that a siren is detected in your area, you will receive a message on your phone with the details of the location, and you will also receive a notification on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
